As one of few professional Irish recorder players, Caoimhe has established herself as a passionate performer, teacher and conductor in London. She is a founding member of internationally-acclaimed and award-winning recorder quartet, Palisander, with whom she has over ten years of experience giving concerts and leading workshops and masterclasses for people of all ages. She is also a founding member of The Earls of Ormond back home; an ensemble of well-renowned Irish early instrumentalists, and performs with Insieme, a chamber-opera ensemble based in London. 

Caoimhe has achieved a number of competition successes in Ireland and the UK. She was a semi-finalist in the Irish Freemason's Young Musician of the Year for two consecutive years, a finalist in the Worshipful Company of Needlemaker's competition, a finalist in the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarships and won first prize in the Recorder Conservatoire competition at the  North London Festival of Music. She was also  invited to be part of the inaugural Handel House Talent Scheme.

In more recent years, Caoimhe has given the Irish premiere of Richard Harvey's Concerto Incantato with the University of Limerick and Hibernian Orchestras, recorded for The New York Times Conception series and performed live on BBC Radio 3 'In Tune' on numerous occasions. 

 

Caoimhe has performed as a chamber musician and soloist at Handel and Hendrix Museum, Wigmore Hall (Chamber Tots series), Wilton's Music Hall, Crypt of Mont St. Michel, Royal Greenwich International Early Music Festival, East Cork Early Music Festival, Tel-Aviv Early Music Seminar (Israel), World Forum on Music (Brisbane), London Handel Festival, and many more. 

Born in Limerick, Ireland,  Caoimhe studied at the Cork School of Music (B. Mus), where she graduated top of her class, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Masters) where she studied with Ian Wilson. She was awarded the school's Concert Recital Diploma for outstanding recital performance and went on to become an Artist Fellow at the conservatoire.
